to YT? In the past few weeks, there have been some discussions on how long some people been here and how they use these forum boards. I'm just curious as to how you found YT. I did a google search for parts on my IH 664 and YT was the first website to pop up. Once I was here, I found the forum boards, all the tractor pics and stories. And as they say, the rest is history.
It happens all the time online, but it still amazes me how you can make friends with people that you may never actually meet face to face, but be part of their daily life as most of us here are.

I've been on here since 2000. I was in high school trying to restore a Cockshutt 30. Looking for any info I could find. The restoration didn't go very good, and the tractor was sold through the classified ads for a loss of $400. I've been on here ever since!

I was refreshing Dads 340 Utility. With the help of this forum, I ,being not very mechanically sound, was able to find my way through a engine rebuild, and other repairs, I visit the forum at least 3 times a week. 5years now

I found YT doing a search for info on garden tractors.....then started putting the farm back into operation......don't remember how long ago.

When we bought first computor, a windows 95 back in 96 or 97 wife was looking at everything she could to figure out how to operate and she found it. She had very limitied use befor that at work and I thought if we had our own she would get more comfortable using one at work.

I did a google search for something about my super c. Been coming here ever since. I may not post much but I do come here on a daily basis. I find it very educational at times. SHON

I did a searh for Oliver tractor when we first got on the internet. This was one of the first sites that came up.

Been so long I can't remember exactly but I was probably looking for parts to repair a customers tractor. Seems like the majority of good sites I find I'm either looking for something that goes along exactly with what I am looking for or something on the flip side if diametrically opposed to what I was looking for but is nice to know about too.

I went to a antique tractor show, then looked at the net for more info. Then I bought a Farmall H, and later a 300 Utility. Restored both, bought a lot of parts off the site. That was in the early 90's, changed my handle a couple of times, so I don't show up as early as some others.

Had a hip replacment in 1998 and got the computer for entertainment while I was on the mend . I put tractors in the search eng. and this is where I went . Only missed a few days sense then and that was only when I was in the Hospital for replacement of some wore out parts .

Woke up one morning and said to myself...."self, let's get on the internet and find a forum that talks about farm/tractor related stuff that is populated by open minded folks that don't get the coffeeshop/parkbench attitude... don't get em in a wad and get all defensive if someone doesn't agree with them or strays a little from a topic, saves their praisin and preachin for sundays or just keeps it tween them and God, EVERYBODY has people skills and demonstrates it all the time...... And no rednecks.....

Couldn't find anything so just stopped off and settled for this one

I started out years ago on the Red Power forum when it first started. It got pretty lame at one time and someone there suggested this site - I haven't been back to the red power forum again even though I subscribe to the magazine and only have red power tractors.

Think I was looking for help on a 1961 Ford 801D at the time and landed here. I am not sure just how long it's been since I have gotten rid of that tractor. Was quite awhile ago.

This past summer we were looking to buy a rusty FA Regular and a friend of my husband said to look at YT. Enjoy the formums and really appreciate the advice of you folks that have more experience than we do. Also enjoy "Your Stories". This is a great sight and easier to navigate/search versus Red Power or SmokeStak. We enjoy the OT posts as well as the tractor related ones.

I found this site back in 2004 when at the age of 21 I decided to repaint the tractor (my illustrious MF 135) that been a lawn ornament since the week my dad died in 1993.

I haven't looked back and my pocket book hasn't been black since then. ;)

I joined back around 2003 or so when I was playing with an allis chalmers G and I had just picked up my first jd brass tag b which had a center fill tank with 4 bolt pedestal.

I got allot of questions answered from the folks here.

Many years ago, doing a Google search for headlight bulbs for a friends TO30. google pointed me to this site.
Thought it was interesting and fun. Been here ever since. :)

I found this about 3 yrs ago when my son gave me this computer. Was looking at 'tractor stuff' when I stumbled onto YT ttf. When Susan was so near deathlast year,YT(and Star Trek) was the only things that kept me sane. Thanks folks for listening.Steve

I had a on old Farmall H, 1944. I got "hooked" on the old machines. And found this site due to the H. That was 10 years ago.

Googling around for parts in 2002 or so, found this place. Have been hanging out ever since. Not sure when I officially registered, because when the converted the site over a year or so ago it removed when I joined.

I started lurking about the time Tales started. Don't remember the year. Probly about 1999. Started posting over there shortly after. I had typed in Antique Allis Chalmers and found YT.

My Son told me about YT. I look at it, and it was real interesting and helpfull. I enjoy reading it. I have posted A few things and got good info on it.

Found during winter of 99 during seasonal winter layoff from BNSF, Winter bordom had set in and internet was only escape at the time. Love this site and the opinions on it. Good x section of America and the world.

Google searching for parts.
While browsing the site I came across some James Howell pictures taken near me. Kept coming back to see his latest offerings and got hooked.

Found this site and decided to stay. Especially when i read the advertisement for "Pre-drilled Post Holes"! Figgered these folks are as nutty as me, so i stayed.

Looking on Google for antique tractors and up came YT. That was in the late nineties. Lots of info on here for everyone, Some of it is good and some not so good but it is interesting anyhow.

you crack me up.
i always click a link when i see something about your people skills...always good for a laugh.
have a good one.

I was on agriculture.com in one of the forums and someone suggested it. I am also on Red Power and the Oliver Hart Parr site, though I like this one best. I am guessing I have been on here 3 - 4 years.
I am partial to Oliver, IH, and MM.

In 1999 I was googling about "Farmall Super A" and found YTMAG. By then I didn't even know what a discussion forum was. Posted my first question in 2000. I've gained a lot of knowledge from the forums and try to "return the favor" by replying to posts where my contributions may help someone.
Taking part in active posts/discussions is not so easy because of the 5 to 9 hours time difference: during the forum's peak times I'm usually asleep...

Wife found this about three years ago. Was looking for info about mower for the farmall c. She got 2 tractors and some other stuff when her dad passed. Allways injoy reading all the posts. Nomally only get to read at lunch, so don't post much. David

I was looking for anything on antique tractors, found YT. Guess it was about 10 years ago, been here pretty much daily ever since. I found Dukester on here who introduced me to a whole bunch of other old tractor colloectors and our club Center Adams Antique Power & Equipment, Hillsdale County, MI.

I googled antique tractors looking for sites that had pictures of antique tractors I found YT and have never left nor do I intend to.

I have been coming here since March of 2000 (started out with the handle "Bguy" since I mainly worked on JD Bs at the time.) I have always been a gearhead, built Harleys back in the 80s, built competition handguns for a few years and then stumbled into this hobby. I found this site via a search engine and it has proven to be a bonanza of information. I don't have any old timers around here for me to give me guidance so this site made it possible for me to pursue this hobby. Early on I discovered the archives and I spent many hours reading through old threads.

I don,t even remember what I had to eat this morning and you ask me something like that.. Like everbody else somewhere back in the 90s was looking for info on old tractors and got here.
Shure have met some good people, Ever time I make a trip out west try to hook up with some of the board members. jm. Tennessee)

I had been putting off restoring my Dad"s F-14 for about 25 years. Finally got around to it about "02. Looked on internet for pics and info, found this site.

I used to chat on the IRC channels where I met some guy, who shall go unnamed. He owns a '48 8N and as we discussed old tractors he told me about YT and here I is.
