NURSING HOME SUPRISE

I am goin to hae you fellows think I am writing a fictious story about my nursing home. Today I have had two surprises Last night was weIrd. My wife was having a problem and wanting to get out of bed. I usually sleep in my lift recliner chair but I got of it and in my Jazzy chair and moved over by her bed to keep her comfortable. The staff and I decided to get her up and in her wheel chair and move her up by thr nurses station where she could move aroud and still be watched. I got back in chair and went to sleep.
I have worn Dentures for 50 years and alway slept with them in my mouth. Went down to breakfast and low and behold no Dentures, Several aid went into search mode. Could not find them. Found out that I have dental insurance the results of being a resident, New set of dentures on the way. My left wrist and hand had swelled up and was painful. asked a nurse about it. Next thing I knew was told it should be X ray I said< "I will have to get my son to take me" "No, the X ray will be her this afternoon", This is not one of those big fancy homes. It is located in a small rural community. The dietery staf prepare the meals. They are like home cooked meals, gitrib

I'm in a not big fancy one too, recovering from hip replacement. This place is great, my third time in one after my two knees. If I need the other hip done I'll come here.

I am the Maintenance/Environmental Director for one here in the TX Panhandle. I have read almost every one of your post and its really good to hear you brag about your staff and your home. its alot warmer there this time of year than it was picking corn with the oliver and single row picker you told us about! lol
