Tx tractors need home...

Are LA Case tractors rare? I have 2 of them that are complete. I was just doing an inventory of what we have accumulated in the Panhandle and it is time to clean house. There are several IH M's, 400, 450, MH, JD, MM, etc tractors in various states of needing repairs. Actually there are 30 of them, many are LP's. My wife tells me I am getting to old to keep buying and storing tractors in Texas, we live in Pa., but I am an addict I guess. Anyone else have this problem?

Excuse me, what did you say the problem was ? :D :p

I have heaps too... but never thought of it as a problem. What I consider a problem is those who throw away everything and just buy new stuff. It is good for a few investors who has 2, 3, or more houses and apartments in the million dollar class around the world. But, it is not good for the little mans economy, it is not good for world economy, and it is not good for the resource situation in the world.

If people can for a second be honest, all this Chinese garbage that is flooding the market is the major reason the world economy does not raise again. We in the west has bought too much low quality garbage for so many years now, that has to be replaced at an unheard rate, that the western world are down on it's knees, and will never raise again unless someone shift the spoon over to the right hand.
People simply need to take care of what they have.

You bet LAs are rare. Just go back to yesterdays post. All old tractors are rare aren't they?

Some will say rare, others will say there are a lot of them. I would guess that out west on the big farms they were the normal model like the SC would be in the small farms of the east where we never seen any L-LA tractors but then out west on the big farms I dought that you would see the SC either so depends on area of country. This was row crop-livestalk area and you never seen a S either but then in other areas I would guess there were many S's.

We've already tried that.

Wait till you arrive at 74,then get back to us on that vintage thing. 5 more years and you should have it all figuresd out.JH 74 and counting.

Kinda upsets me that I have newer, good, expensive machinery sitting out in the weather so my old toys don't get a bath anymore. Guess old age does have a few priveleges--

I have three machine sheds full, four barns that you can hardly see through, and two sheds rented. I figured the square footage out last winter. I was thinking about putting up a big hoop style building to get everything home and sorted out. I have a little over 35,000 square feet of space stacked full. It gave me a head ache so I just quit thinking about it. Plus with it all spread out the wife does not seem to get as excited about it. LOL
