For some strange reason, he continues to post on talers, which I feel is a waste of electricity and finger joint wear. He was basicly chased off this forum - which has a long archives, not the 2 or 3 pages to scroll back to- which is what got the the talers in a pout, but seems to be a whole lot of -jealous?- people on these forums. He was new, on here and the net, and got a new camera phone or whatever ya call em, and thought guys here would like to see his equipment and projects. Trouble is, some old boys on this and talers were imtimedated by a 'new guy' that had an excavator digging down 20 feet, a 40 odd year old basket case M&M that was doing 200 acres like a swiss watch, concrete work down to permafrost, seems the flag draped riding lawn mower crowd didn't appreciate it, so it seems anyway eh? I believe his email is always open, and he would love to here from you and send you pics of whatever you'd want to see- hey he got a pile of firewood cut up in 2 days that is bigger than my house, and I ain't kidding. I am lousy at cut and paste, but he would send it to ya.

Where people go wrong is not asking some of the old timers permission to post before they jump into an on going conversation. Should they jump in unannounced before asking permission there are some who will never except them.. There are two forums on YT that you better ask permission before you post, or you better have a dang funny intro that will tickle the innards of all those in charge..

Not understanding your logic on this one ?? I took him as a fun lovin hard workin sort of fella that may be able to share his adventures and pics, serious or funny. that didn't take it as repulsive remark when I picked on the 8N

No intentions of running him off. just trying to make him at home .. enjoyed his posts.

Got to say, that explains a bit of my own experience there, gotten the electronic cold shoulder there a couple times. That explanation never would have occurred to me without seeing it written though - private threads in a public forum? Seems a bit weird... to each his own, I guess.

He is a distant relative. I speak to him on the telephone once or twice a week. Talers always seem to creep into the conversation. I was going to follow him into talers those months ago, but got openly- to go F@#$ myself early on. I got too much real world dramas to get into this childish stuff. He lives where winter is 9 months and so is darkness, I don't think he is likely to go anywhere anytime soon, unless it suits him. I wish he spent more time on his MF1105, his experience with machinery would liven that forum up. Talers dont' need livening up.....

My post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just pointing out how it is on a couple of forums on YT. I don't have a problem with Lyle or anyone else on YT, I don't post very often on any of the forums here, but I've been around bout ten years or so and I do understand how they operate. Fact is there are some on a couple of the forums that will never except those that has the audacity to post without asking permission first..No way they can be made to leave, but there will always be someone slinging mud at'em as long as they're there..

This is a world wide public forum , KEY WORD " PUBLIC " . Therefore, anything that is posted on here is open to the world wide public . But , still , I understand where you are going from . In the case of and argument it probably would be best to ask permission to join in , but still it's a free world and a world wide public forum , so anyone can join in at will , like some have done in argument between me and others . I don't care who or who dosen't like me on here . It's a public form and I have a right to be here like everyone else. Certain ones seem to think that they own this site , well they don't ,as I have said before . Yes, there are a few people on here that know alot of stuff , but no one can know everything about everthing , but still everyone does know something about something any from their input is how we learn different things . IN OTHER WORDS , THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM AND NO ONE IS IN CHARGE EXCEPT THE MODERATORS / OWNERS .

P.S. I've also seen that some people, when they have to run someone down or make a smart remark , have to change their handle to an unknown handle .

I agree, why would anyone want to use a public forum for a private conversation? Unless the little people are supposed to be in such awe of the posters that simply reading their words is satisfaction enough. If you want to have private conversation use email. Or start a private forum. If you post on a public forum you should expect to have others join in..

And I don't understand why, if one doesn't like someone else's posts, they read them anyway? Do they have so little discipline that they can't help but peek? Not sure if you can do it here, but on most forums you can block someone else's posts. I've never had to do that, I just don't read them. Seems simple, but that's just me...
