I dont know where you are but there was a dealer for Muir Hill tractors in Prarie City IL. They farmed near us here at Farmington IL for many years and I recall them plowing with those tractors. It was Fayhee implement or equipment I dont recall but it is gone now.

picture was taken south east Idaho this is just above lava hot springs. I have only seen two of these tractors both owned buy one family this is one of those tractors it was parked for as long as I can remember I always wanted the tractor and finally was able to buy it from the original owners granddaughter for 900 bucks . I guess there use to be a dealer about 50 miles south of here. sure wish I could find out more information on them

I cant help you with anything about them. The Fayhee family was probably a distributor for them as well as a dealer. I have no idea if they actually sold any. Dont remember seeing anyone actually own one. They were always a conversation piece, truely an oddity. They farmed as well as ran the dealership and I remember theirs had cabs on them and seemed like they were bigger than the one you have bought. Looks like it would be fun to play with. Good luck!!

They were built in England, using a ford engine and transmission. Not many were exported to the US.

Some of them had Perkins engines too. They are not a common sight even here in The UK these days.

They must be fairly rare the only info I've been able to find was on wikipedia finally found a service and parts manual can't find any parts other than the ford stuff would like to hear from anybody that owns or has operated or even seen them

Thanks for the website Roy. During world war 2 Muir Hill dumpers based on Fordson N tractos were used to build the bomber airfields in the UK including the USAF bases in East Anglia. After the war a lot were sold to farmers for getting the potatoes and vegitables of the fields in winter. Luckly a few have been saved into preservation here in the UK. MJ
