12 volt generator swap from 460d to 450 gas

Can you switch a 460 d gen to a 450 gas? They are both 12 volt systems. the 460 is negetive ground and the 450 is positive ground. Thanks

Generator doesn't care what system it's chargin'.

Allen I was editing the post and adding the neg-pos grounds are different on those . Does that matter at all?

Geetar Man (aka Allan) is right, that genny will charge a battery (at Pos or Neg Ground) and it dont give a hoot which battery post you tie to some hunk of rusty old iron.

HOWEVER BEFORE STARTING you need to Polarize the genny ya know.....

Unlike alternators, generators will charge in either direction. Just polerize and you'd good to go.
