downloading pics in modern view

For some inknown to me reason I can't load pics onto modern view tonight. I select the pic in my pictures on the compuker and that's as far as she goes. It won't transfer to this website. What's happening or not happening? A gallery photo will transfer to my post but I just can't get one from my computer to transfer. Jim

It has been awhile for me, but if memory serves, you click the Img button before and after the picture code. See if that helps!

Well I hit UPLOAD PHOTO, then I hit BROWSE. The picture selection comes up from My Pictures, I click on the selected photo, it highlights, then I hit SELECT, and that's as far as she goes. It doesn't make it to the image window. In the past it's been slow to get to the image window but it did make the trip. Not it's not getting there. Jim

You may try to give it more time to load.
I have broadband, it don t take it long to load.

Must be something's not happening here on the home front. I'm gonna have to hunt around in this compuker to see if I can find something amiss. For the past few days my username isn't in the name slot by default every time when I go to make a post. Thanks. Jim

It has to be in GIF or jpg format. It should say 'unknown image type' or something if it's not in one of those two formats. That's the only problem I've had with the image posting tools. To transfer to jpg format you can go to paint, open the picture you want, click 'save as', and select jpg(or jpeg) as the format to be saved in.

I'm on broadband and my speed is running just a twitch over one meg. Not ligtning speed but it's a fairly good clip. Normally it can take up to five minutes for the pic to load but I waited an hour tonight without results. After that I waited fifteen minutes or so several times and still nothing. I'm still scratching my head. Jim

I think your doing it backwards I always hit BROWSE first, then select the picture, Then hit UPLOAD To upload another, hit continue then BROWSE, select another Then UPLOAD for the second picture but thats in the classic view

Click on "Browse"
Select your pic then
Click on "Open"
Click on "Upload"
Click on "Continue"
