OT Wind Break

My wife wanted a wind break for the back door it faces west and the north wind in the winter just whistles thru the area between the shed and the house. It took me two weekends and I have zero cost in it all reclaimed materials. The open side faces south.

Nice little addition, especially considering the cost. From the outside it does look a little like the drive thru at MickeyDees though. LOL

LOL kinda funny to watch...people near me are doing one of 2 things....planting wind breaks to help or cutting them out to farm a few more square feet!

nice job! you can kick your muddy boots off in there too, that will make the wife even happier, I hope she gave you a big hug for all that work. lol

Looks pretty good. You might just want to consider a fouth side and putting a door in it when you get the time or money. I have a couple of three sided sheds that will still get snow and rain in them when the wind is right.

When I built my house I said something to Dad about planting a windbreak on the ridge to the north of it.

"I guess I spent enough time and money getting all the @##$%^ trees and brush cleared off of there, that we won't be planting any more."

That was the end of that discussion. He has been gone for ten years, and I still haven't planted any trees there, probably never will.

Tony, Good Job, I will venture to guess you are a long way further North than I. I see your gas Grill there so you can cook some. Your little wind break will be "The Place" to hold Your "Winter Defiance Party" When the the Snow is waist deep, and gray over cast sky's Shovel off the snow, invite the neighbors, Grill burgers, Dogs and chops,sausage/brats, etc. All must wear a Flowery Hawaiian Shirt and tell ol'Man Winter you will not be beat down by his cold North wind or Sleet/Snow! Great job looks real nice have fun in the dead middle of winter!

Looks really nice, especially for the price. But it looks like you're going to have to relocate your light now.
