new idea 3 wheeled uni-tractor

My dad found one today and said the engine was a 6cylinder with inspection covers on the side of the block like the old IH engines or the older detroits. It was a gas engine. Any ideas as to what this engine could be. Thanks for the help.

The first 6 cyl were continental flat heads. The true 3 wheel uni's had V4 moline side valvers. Later on they had a silage special, that had a 401 V6 GMC. We demonstrated one of these with a combine on it. would motor around a 403 IHC. It had dual straight pipes coming out the back. The dealer where I worked sold 3 or 4 uni's a year. Mostly with combines on them. A few corn shellers, 2 balers. a couple silage choppers. and earlier corn pickers. But in my time was using corn shellers and combines. In their time the corn head knew no equal in down corn. The first airconditioned cab I saw was on a Uni-Harvestor. back in the fifties. There was probably 20 people standing around watching it cut wheat. Everybody had to get in and shut the door and feel the cold. It was aw sum top of the line. LOL Vic

It was a straight six but not a chevy. Had the inspection covers on the side. Trying to decide what this could be. Dad couldn't get close enough due to briars but he could see the inspection covers on the side of the block. Called me and I can't think of what it would have been from that time period. Just didn't know if continental or maybe waukesha made one duing that time with the inspection covers? thanks.

There were several set up for harvesting sweet corn operating around here in the late 60's/early 70's. All were GMC V-6 powered - 401 gas or DH478 "ToroFlo" diesel.
