I would like to think all Veterans of all wars and to my Brothers who didn't come home from Vietnam. 101st Ariborne 69-70 Camp Eagle.

Sad thing is how today's military has gotten to the point that you need to be funny to be able to stay in if you understand what I am saying

Only telling the truth I know of a couple guys in right now that probably will not be in for long all because of chicken $hit stuff like having a hot plate in a barracks room etc.

My son was in over 20 years ago and it was bad then I could guess how it is now. He had a Major that was put out of service becouse some had typed a Hillbilly joke on his Office computer "one that every one had excess to".
It isn't like when we were in and the TI's would stand in your face and tell you things that you didn't want to here about your sister & mother and you had to take it.
As far as what you are talking about some were there when I was there in the late 50's and early 60's they did there thing and we did ours. They have always been in service and always will be. I don't have a problem with them untill they try to shove there life style in my face.
 
I do not have a problem with them either as long as they do there thing and leave me alone but what I am talking about is now days if you do something they do not like they are ready to boot you out instead of slap you for doing something petty wrong. Like some one I know who is looking at maybe being kicked out because he had a hot plate and toaster oven in his room
 
Military life now days is nothing like it was back when you where in or even when I was in. Now days if you are seen drunk or do some little thing wrong they are ready to throw the kid out of the service. Now days they want guys who are suck up and if you don't do that they kick you out. I know 3 plus people that have been kicked out because they would not kiss but
 
Yep sad to say but now days things are not like they where even 10 years ago. Have one friend who got out of the Air Force because of how it was getting. He did 21 years and gave up due to the politics

No doubt you are prolly a nice enough guy but come on.... If you sent your boy off to the service with the attitude you have, he's prolly on the chopping block you are whining about.

Military now is nothing like it was when you old folks were in... Nothing is the same as it was (pick a number) years ago. It's called progress.
Folks don't get kicked out for hotplates or getting drunk (when off duty), they get kicked out for being idiots and are too ashamed to admit it (or too stupid to realize it)......

Thank you and every other service member and vet for the service you are giving and gave.
