Just when I'm moving dirt and getting near done for the winter. My Mustang skid got a miss.Onan P218,,yep tight vale, valve seat loose . Hopefully if I baby it can get nother 8 hours outof it ! Then conveyor was acting funny , both bearings in lower roller wiped out . Did more wrenching than shoveling . Now we got rain/thunder snow . Over 2 inches of heavy slush on the ground. Hope it don't freeze . Will be a mess .
 
Remove the valve and seat. Clean the recessed area for the seat, apply loctite and install the seat, then use a flat punch and stake the area around the seat. It should run a long time..
 
Yea done that on them before . This thing is shoehorned into the loader gotta pull motor out to work on it. I retro fitted it ,,it came with a kohler 14 hp . I have a t260 onan I may just freshen up and swap in ,,the extra 8 hp won't hurt,,,just alot of work either way .
