any ideas what to look at? Doesnt move, not even slow when the lever is engaged. Not familiar at all with how it works internally.

It could be something as simple as the tiny little pin in the valve has sheared off , or it could be that the snap ring that hold the clutch pack came out and let the clutch pack come apart . Or the clutch pack is shot . To remove the valve spool first you remove the square nut and lock nut on top of the valve spool then you remove the plug on the bottom and the valve comes out the bottom of the unit . You will have iol coming out once the plug on the bottom is removed so you want to work sorta fast to get the valve out and the plug back in . If that tiny little pin is sheared off you will have a two piece valve . The nut on the top is what sets the pressure on the PTo and pressure will have to be reset once you get it back together . This takes a special fitting a pressure gauge that can read 600# . Best to get a I T manual and read up on what all is involved . IF you have to pull the unit you have to drain the rear end or find a steep hill and put the nose of the tractor down hill. That PTO unit is HEAVY and is best handled with a Cherry picker.

one thing i'll add- an easy way to check if that tiny pin sheared is to remove the square nut and lock nut, and if you can pull the top half of the valve spool out the top, that's your problem. when it's held together it has to go out the bottom.
