Just got settled in bed and the shake, rattle and roll started Another earth quake. Just got to sleep here came the aides EVERYBODY up and to the safe room. What a picture 60 plus old people bounced out of bed in ther nities and crowded into a safe room. We were stuck there about an hour before the all clear. Here was a room full of old people trapped in a safe room. Was their panic, sceaming? NO! They all snuggled down down in there wheel chairs and went to sleep till the all clear and were rolled back and put in there beds. There was no panic or fear just a bunch of grumpy old people We did have lot of hard wind and 1.6 inch of rain. Four day in a row of Quakes. Going to head down to breakfast and hear all of the tales. Still hard rains,

You can send some of that rain to here in NW Iowa. Some of the old timers are beginning to say they've never seen it this dry in the fall.

I've never felt an earthquake. The earth beneath us is pretty calm here. Jim

Fixer upper. I am sn old Iowa farm boy.never felt a earthquake before. Grandfather from Early.Wife from Lake City She taught school at Terril

Slept thru it here in central Kansas the other night but son and wife with newborn baby in hospital in Salina said they saw and heard strange things. Daughter in Topeka said she felt it. I would never have dreamed that we would have an earthquake in Kansas.

We're about 30 miles north of Early. Marilyn's family is from the Lake City, Auburn, Carroll area. we go through Terril about ten times a year on our way to the grandkids. Small world, isn't it? Jim

My wife and I slept through one in Visalia, California once about 20 years ago. It was a pretty good one, about 4.5.

We went to bed in a motel about 11:00 pm and the quake hit shortly after midnight. We didn't know anything about it until we went down for breakfast and everyone was talking about the earthquake.

I guess here in the Midwest, we're tuned in to tornados and blizzards and don't expect earthquakes.

Hey Fixerupper Does the name Huston at Early mean anything. Moulds at Lake City is wifes family

You'll get what you want tonight. Winter Storm Warning for western Iowa, or is that a Blizzard warning??

We never get blizzards here in western Iowa. Only lite snow.....sometimes 16 or 18 inches of "lite snow". I wouldn't trade NW IA. for anywhere else. Dale
