Raspberries

I can't explain why my raspberries started to bear fruit in October instead of late June which is normal. Hvae been picking excelent quality berries for a month. Picked the last of them this morning-frozen.

If they are everbearing plants could explain it as they will have a 2nd crop each year - October seems sort of late but better late than never.

My second year transplants, beared late first bearing, and had some early october. Think the unusually wet, cool wether played into it a lot.
Heritage everbearing mine are.

I have everbearing plants here. If I don't get an early frost, I will gat a second crop in mid to late Oct.
This year I had a great second picking.I think it was better then the first for some reason.

I have some June bearing and mostly everbearing plants. My everbearing ones put out some in june then really come on strong August through the middle of october until a hard frost. They were really great this year in W. Mich.

They are probably everbearing type raspberries. We have some and they have berries on them in September and October. The wife likes"em that way because the other kind come in while she"s still canning strawberry jam and she can"t get to them then.

We have everbearing ones as well. Ever see the peach colored ones? A bit lighter flavor but they are great. We get a decent June crop and a heavy fall crop from ours. Look up Nourse Farms. They propogate all sorts of berry plants. Great people to work with as well.
