Auction Prices

What have auction prices on machinery and smaller items been bringing? Here in Highland Il home auctions and lawn or garden equipment prices are really low. Yesterday a 6hp Troy Built Horse Model tiller brought only $180.00. Other items they seem to have to give them away at a low price. I guess the people aren't speding any money or don't have it to spend...??????

Worst time of year to sell garden type tillage equipment.1)Spring is a long way off 2)Holidays take up the extra cash folkshave to spend.$180 isn't a bad price for a used Troybilt tiller BTW

Here in southern middle Tn prices are so so. We get people coming up from AL wanting a place to hunt so they will give stupid money for land and that drives it up for the rest of us folks who live here. Equipment is iffy as well. I bought a 52 "B" Deere with a water pump at an auction a coulple of weeks ago for $925. It needs a battery and battery box. Runs good and has some new parts. But some stuff at the same sale brought out the roof and wasn't worth anything. I guess its still normal auction results but there are some good deals that have came up.

Here in Ohio auctions are still bringing out the best prices. Very few "deals" from what I've heard.

North of Zionsville IN last Sat: Massey 35 with loader appeared to run well, loader with hydraulic bucket worked well: $1950
Washer and dryer, minimum if any wear, Kenmore: $20 for both!

Hit and miss here. last auction I was at a H, M and C with loader went kinda high for what they were but a decent LM, A and a couple od B JD's went low. Other equipment was so so. They almost had to give the hay away.
