O/T--Thought I would share...

I took these photos about one hour ago. I had never seen cloud formations quite like these. Within 45 minutes, the temperature had dropped 10 degrees celsius (18F) and had an inch of slush on the ground. This is near Atrush, Kurdistan in northern Iraq. I think I want to go back home to Tucson!!

Ominous clouds, strange weather. I've notice lots of unusual cloud formations and weather occurences here in Illinois also. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!! I pray that ALL of you come home safely. Chris

Yes, it is a rig site. I spent 5 1/2 years training Iraqi CTSOF outside of Baghdad. Now doing security consulting and using Peshmerga for force protection. It is very quiet here with the exception of the Turks occasionally dropping 500 pounders on old PKK positions about 10 km north of here. I know all of our military forces appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

Thanks for your service. That looks like A place where I would not like to be. Does it snow in Tuscon? If you are like me the only time I was aroun much snow was during my Navy time. Stay safe. Stan
