Snow, trees, leaves and Deere

We just had our first two snow storms, one day apart. First around 2" and the next around 4". No big deal but it was tough on trees that still had leaves. A young black locust came down across our road. Got it saved with my Deere hoe. Picked it up, shook the snow off and tied it. Got it done just before the town "wrecking" crew came around with chainsaws.

LJD. Pictures of the snow is quite impressive. Noticed the wood pile isn't quite finished yet lol. Thanks for the posting of the pix. Glad you got to save the tree. warmest regards LOU.

Thanks for the snow pictures. Very refreshing to us in drought stricken Texas. Also good to see that you made the nessary effort to save a tree in a world where few realize the importance of trees.

Congrats on saving the tree. I have had to cut trees because I did not have the equipment to save them. Kind feel for you folks though, I know that you were not ready for such weather.
