3600 sticking clutch

I have a 3600 that gets used primarily in the winter for plowing snow. I run it a little every month but evidently not enough to keep the clutch from sticking. Usually takes half an hour to warm it up and get it broke loose. Right now I"m holding the pedal down with a c-clamp but I"m concerned about breaking a spring in the pressure plate or causing some other problem. Any advice?

Only cures I know of for this ailment is to run it more often, or block the pedal like you are. I have always thought that blocking the pedal part way through its travel rather than past the "cam-over" is easier on the clutch. Have made hooks out of steel rod for tractors before, just slip it on when you park it.

yep.. block the clutch.

and if you have an input shaft seal leak.. fix it or park nose up.

I would say your chances for less trouble are with it blocked down. If it gets stuck much or very bad then for sure you have have to split it.

Some brands even came with a built in way to hold the clutch pedal down.
