country driveways are just too scary....

no matter what you give away, "trick or treaters" just won't venture down a half mile gravel driveway!

We have had maybe half a dozen Trick or treaters,in 44 yrs. If you don't count our Grandkids, they always come. Back when we had eligible girls, we had TP ers. And all kinds of things done to us, like fresh horse $hit on the front porch. Grease on all the door handles. I kinda miss it.

I used to work for a town house complex, every Halloween the kids would put sand and gravel in the gas tank of my 68 chevy pu,and the next day they would help me clean it out,I sure miss it

8PM ;Just handed out the last Snickers and last Milky Way[mini bars] Have a few Almond Joy bars which I like my self ,which I hid from every one else, nothing stingy about me,Oh,we live in a small community along the banks of the Hassayampa River in North Western Maricopa County[yeah that county, remember the toughest Sheriff around,Joe Arpaio?]Arizona. I enjoy the kids and they like to come and play with Clea, our little dog.We gave out about 400 Candy Bars, two at a time tonight. All done until next year, with a little luck we will still be here.A good time was had by all. Will be a lot of sugar highs around here the next couple of days.JH

We had 1 group of trick-or-treaters this year. Kinda sad, really. Of course, it wasn't all bad, cause I got to dress up as Ghost Rider and scare folks in the fire department/rescue squad haunted house. Mwahahahahaha!

No tricker-treaters here last nite... but we're out in the country. We haven't been out to check the yard this am yet, not daylight yet. Motion detectors didn't go off last nite, so probably in the clear. Son in law in nearby town had over 300, ran outta candy. Bummer, at least I get to help eat the leftovers!

In our sub, we used to get 400-500 kids when our kids were young. Last nite, came home late and wife said we had less than 100. Most were teenagers not even wearing costumes. A lot were driven into our sub from out of the area, rude, coming back twice, asking for more. Parents coming up to the door with them, asking for candy. Sad to see.

My uncle used to do tricks instead of treating when he was a kid. Every year he would tip this old womans out house over. Once he stole the whole thing and got caught by the police putting it on the courthouse steps. They took him to her house and she said not to worry about it. She was sure he would bring it back when he was done with it.

had a total of 4 at my place. and we have plenty of kids in our neighborhood and 2 adjoining 'hoods.

I had 3 3# bags of candy.. :) I think I gave those 4 kids about a pound a piece.. and still have some I need to take over to my friends house!

Local church has Trunk or Treat everyone loads the candy up and parks in the church parking lot and all the trunks open at 5:30PM works pretty well for all concerned

Kids don't even try any more, most of them wouldn't even bother if it weren't for their parents making them do it...
