My log splitter is not working on my Case 430 diesel tractor. It was working in the spring time.

It hooks onto the hydraulic of my front end loader. I could not get it operational. What could it be? The hydraulic are working. Any help would be helpful.

Thank you

How's the front end loader working? Is the spliter seperated from the loader by a two or three postion valve? What is the level of the hydraulic fluid, and how does it look? Also, is there a limit switch on the spliter that might be stuck?

Neighbor had this happen with a Quad-trac and a dirt scraper. Un-hooked it and a few days later, came back and it wouldn't eject. Tried everything! about 4 hrs later, found one of the male ends was bad. Wouldn't let any fluid through. Vic

Could be many things, but are you using the right 2 hoses, are the quick connects working properly, are they clean & seating all the way. Would check thosr hose sonnections and the proper hoses over real carefully.

Is pressure building on the tractor, is the detent (or bungie cord...) holding the valve on the tracotr open, what can you tell is about the setup & how it is acting?
