OT F250 waterpump

Finally got my 89 F250 water pump replaced. Every bolt snapped off at the face of the water pump due to rust. I tried drilling 1/16" holes along the bolts. No way. Finally took my hand grinder with a cut off blade and sliced the pump along every bolt. PB blaster and hammering finally got it off. About 4 hours just to get the old pump off and old bolts out. Total time including coolant flush & fill, road test and tighten 2 remaining leaks, 12 hours. I saved big $$$ but am now 2 full weekends behind on the farm work.

makes you wounder which way would have been better...do it yourself and save money,,or pay some one to got through the troble doing it and get farm work done and feel relaxed...lol

Yes, I had 3 hay deliveries to make, which I am backed up on, so my time is a factor. Trouble is, I over spent on fertilizer and lime, and need to draw the line somewhere. I'm also saving to buy a discbine.
