Off Topic F250 Super Duty

I have a 1999 F 250 Super Duty 7.3 diesel that has a fuel leak somewhere around the fuel filter housing. replaced the drain valve friday and cleaned off real well. I still have a fuel leak in the area. It's not the drain valve or fuel filter top O ring. Anyone else had thsi type of problem.

Had this happen to my 96. Had some residual water in the water/fuel separator/filter. Not enough to cause the water in fuel light to come on. Over time it ate thru the bottom of the bowl causing pinhole leaks. Had to replace the whole assembly. Of course this happens on the road away from the shop so had to get the dealer to fix it. $700 later back on the road, ouch. Had I been at home would have removed it, cleaned it and then JB Welded it.

On my 2nd generation Powerstroke, a 2000, had the o-rings in the drain valve go out. Went to the plumbing store and bought some new ones and fixed it in about 30 min.

I just cleaned the area again and it seems to be on the sensor to the left of the drain valve looking straight down at the filer housing and to the drivers side. I guess it has o rings behind it.

I had no idea there was such a thing as a WIF sensor... I need to get one so that I know when to shut down YT... WIFey knows there is a direct correlation between the amount of time I spend on here and the amount of money I spend on the tractor... LOL!
