I blew the engine in my Dixon early spring ,so I mowed my yard { about 1 1/2 acres } w/a wheelhorse tractor w/a 38" mower .. took me 6 hours ..
Will time past and found a Grasshopper w/catcher, for the $$ I could afford .. got it the last of Sept. and went thur it .. grease , oil change , fix a few bendt pcs. and adjust where needed ..etc.
<>
it has a 61 inch cut and w/the leaves the cather sure is nice ..
haven't mow the whole yard yet .. I'm sure I will not take as long ..lol

Very nice. Looks to be in pretty good shape too. Usually the hopper takes a beating on those if they have been used commercially.

I've got one and I wouldn't trade it for anything as I've got a fair amount of leaves too.

Nice Mark I thought one time about selling GH's well built machines, did you know that Dixon and Grasshopper were designed by two guys, they vhad a falling out and they split making the two seperate machines, that one should last you a good while for sure, does she have the dsl by chance? I have seen them with 5000 plus hrs and still running cnt

LOL I mowed 5 acres with a Wheel Horse C120 and a 42" deck for years. Would take about 6 hours if I stayed on top of it and got everything mowed when it should have been. Went through about 3 gallons of gas too. Last year I got a woods finish mower for behind my Ford 8N. Now it takes about 1 1/4 hour and about a gallon and a half.

Looks like a good mower!

I've got a 721 diesel grasshopper that mows great. You can mow through water and mow grass a foot tall.

That sure is a nifty looking piece of equipment you got yourself there.

Let me ask you a question though. What if you get the deck too low and it sucks all the worms out of the ground, and you decide to go fishing but can't seem to find any worms and end up digging up the whole yard and still come up empty handed? With twin 20HP Kohlers, I could see that happening.

All joking aside, she sure looks good. I sure hope she works out good for you.

Good luck.

Nice rig there! I bought a gently used GH a few years ago with a 72" deck. Love it. Have to slow down for tall grass but that's what the big deck does to you.....Works great all other times. 3 cly. Kabota gas burner.

Very nice machine. I have a Grasshopper 52 inch 18 HP Kohler that now has 505 hrs on it and is in exellent condition. Actually it still has all the original belts on it and still look good. I bought this one new in spring of 1988.

Nice looking mower. I just traded a 721D off with a collection system the next size up from yours. That is the best colletion system in the industry hands down. I cut commercially and the GH is just not a commercial mower. Great for homeowner use. Hope you have a really good dealer close by. Enjoy!
