What needs to be done 806 DT-361 to be able to swap in a 1206 DT-361. Is it just a sleeves, pistons, swap ? Thanks for any help. Theron

To my understanding the Dt 361 is a DT361. 806 has no turbo the 1206 has one. I've been told you can swap the turbo enigne into an 806 as a bolt in. Only difference is the hood openings. Check with the guys on the IH page here.

Far as I know the motors are the same. If your lookin to get 1206 hp outa your 806 you can get a M&W turbo kit and crank out about the same HP as a 1206. If you have a motor outa a 12 and wana put it in an 8 Im thinkin it should all be the same.
