601 Ford generator wiring

Could anyone tell me the correct wiring to a ford 601 rebuilt generator or have a wiring diagram. There is a red, black, and yellow wire. I am not sure which wire is attached to which screw post on the generator. I believe the red is on the post at the end by itself. The other two post are on the side of the generator and labeled G and E. I assume the G is for ground and that the black wire is ground. Thanks for help from anyone.

on't trust colors on old tractors.....may have been re-wired over the years, but all 3 go back to the voltage regulator where terminals are marked (maybe small & dirty, but marked), so just match them up. The ground and F (field) (not E) are on barrel and one has insulating washers & one doesn't. Armature is on rear end plate.
