massey harris 44 special

i just bought a massey harris 44 special standard for 2200 dollars. it has no dents at all any where on it. has power steering. all the lights work and all the gauges work. 2 remotes. every thing is completely original even the steering wheel. runs perfect no blow by at all. 70% tires all the way around. this tractor still has the original paint and u can still read the name and model on the hood and the name on the back of the fenders and the warning stick on the pto shield.I was told its worth 3 times what i payed for it but i can find no information on value or how many where made does any one no?!?!?!!?

What you payed sounds about right, maybe a little higher. In that shape that is all masseys will bring, not much of a following. A restored one will probably bring $5000-$5500 maybe a little more little less.

It is worth as much as it will be, restored, un-restored. The 44's just don't bring a lot of money.

Who told you it was worth a lot more?

well i just bought one the way you describe for 400.00. so it must be a steal. 2200.00 is on the high side.

400 dollars sounds like scrap price.Where'd you steal it from?

some massey collectors did but this isnt regular 44 special its the standard model
