Rear Wheel Castings

I have a set of rear wheel castings for my JD B. I would like to replace the 4 studs in these wheels. Is there any tricks to getting these out? Also, where could I purchase new ones? Thanks in advance, Mike

I have removed many JD studs but not from wheel castings yet.Honestly I never had any of those bad enough to worry about. I usually double nut them and try to turn them out. Some are in there really tight ! This is for ones I plan to reuse so if not reusing them a pipe wrench may work better. If they are broken off then I drill them out. Start small then go big enough to the tap size and then tap out the pieces. Do NOT use an easy out as it will break off makeing more problems.

Oil them up good with your favorite penetrating oil,, THEN put the double nuts on, THEN tighten, a little bit. Then loosen.
