Differential Locks

Just wondering which tractors of each manufacturer were first with factory differential locks. I've only been around it on JD2020 and 4320.

The xx10 Deeres had diff lock? New to me. My 4010 sorely lacks one, my 4020 has one, I always thought that was one of the upgrades from to xx10 to the xx20 series

I know this isn't along the lines of your question but many of the real early gas tractors and also steam engines have a differential lock.

Not quite as handy as a lever or pedal like came about in the 60's. The old stuff have a "arm" on the axle, you put a pin in the hole in that axle and it tied the two wheels together.

Here in the UK IH introduced the diff lock on the B250 tractor in 1955. I have serial number 549 wice is the 49th one built because IH started all serial numbers at 501. MJ
