Just bought a piece of property (small orchard)... Not big by you folks' standards but a good score for me.... 1/8th acre for 400 bucks but it's been seperating me from an acre for free rent........ Makes a nice pasture for a couple mares with babies or is protected enough to set up a roof and leave the two geldings there for the winter... I's happy..
AND just picked up the papers for my "new" tractor, will be using it by Monday........
 
True a 1/8 of a acer isn't much, but from what
I understand they aren't making anymore land
so every square inch of it is Nice to have....
 

buy land by the square meter (10 sq ft) here....... 10K sq meters is 2.2 acres..... Just got a "deal" at 90 cents (US) a sq meter...
 
Dave,This year I bought about the same,The house beside me burnt down and the lot was actully too small to build on,We started talking at 500.then the town and reallity office got there heads together and it costed me 5500.I was proud to get it,Its been graded off and grass seeded and really looks good.

Friend of mine noticed some land up for auction around him.Went to the court house steps and bought the property from the tax sale for $3000. Got seven acres to go with his 2 acre lot. That was a deal of the lifetime. Anytime you can add some adjoining property you are better off.

You know, I've been here 22 years and have seen 2 badgers...Know they are around but they don't seem to bother anything......
