mh pacer start problems

I have a mh pacer tractor that will only start with a boost.I used a fully charged battery from my charger and it barley turns over add a boost and it turns over fine. P.S. After the first start the tractor will start without boost. Any thoughts Thanks Harold

could be dirty connections at the battery post. I would try cleaning them. just a guess but dirty post will make a battery look bad.

Check the voltage at each point in the system, starting from the battery to ground, then from the switch/solenoid on to the starter. At some point you will see a major drop in voltage, indicating a bad connection or cable. Just have to track it down to find it.
