Have a Hough H60D 4x4 wheel loader. After sitting for a few weeks it appears that the diesel fuel leaks back and is not there for a quick start up. Not always , but sometimes.
Where would a guy put in a checkvalve???????
Thanks

Is there a lift pump in that system? sometimes the lift pump act like a check valve, it could be damaged or wore out.

I don"t know about your loader but my tractor owner"s manuals says that if you don"t use the machine regularly that you may need to use the primer pump on the lift pump before you attempt to start. So I think that may be a normal condition on some lift pump equipped machines. It does not happen on my tractor that has a gravit fuel feed system.

Hello lenray,
A check valve can be istalled in the fuel line coming from the tank. Make sure that the inside diameter is the same or bigger then the existing fuel suply line. This prevent the fuel supply line draing back to the tank, during a long period of time, when the engine is not started.

Thanks guys for the advice--I can't find a lever to pump like on some of my tractors.
