pulling tractor

I always have to laugh when I see "pulling tractor" in the photo ads. I know exactly what they mean by that, but I still have to laugh. All tractors are made for pulling.

Kinda reminds me of that very old joke by Minnie Pearl where she mentioned her Uncle Nabob being asked why he was pulling a log chain around. He responded "Ever try pushing one?"

I imagine a gazillion years ago it was called "tractor pulling competition", but like everything else in life, it"s been abbreviated. Go figure!

The difference being......hardly any of those "pulling tractors" would run long enough to be called "plowing tractors".
