Waiting for a hint of daylight before I climb into my tree stand. 41* windy, and spitting rain in mid Michigan. What a fool am I.

Was all suited up and out the door when I realized it was still raining. The deer will have to wait. Not about to get wet the first day. Hope it clears up this afternoon.

Ours started 2 weeks ago in N Florida, but it's still almost 90 degrees in the afternoon! Perfect shot on a big doe opening morning, put some meat in the freezer. This morning a cold front has come through it's clear and in the fifties- but wifes working, I've got rugrat patrol! Supposed to bein the forties tomorrow, definetely gonna make that hunt!

Been there done that !!!! now I just set back and let some one else do that stuff, and I eat Black Angus Steak...

I'm asuming my son is out there this morning. There's a big old gray buck out there that he wants to get. The neighbor kid had him right in his sights at 65 yards a week ago in the youth hunt, but his dad told him he'd better not since they were on my land and my son told them that he wanted to get him with the bow.

Here in Missouri we are now into day 16 of bow season. I have not been out yet but then I do not like to go out till we have had our first frost which we have yet to see

opening day in Illinois today. Helicopter shining a spot lite into the woods flew over me about 5:30 this morning. Didn' see a thing
