OT: Adjusting well to the wife leavin

Ya'll may remember one of the side affects of three years of surgeries was my wife got tired of it all and left me back in March. Don't blame her a bit, we're still best of friends.
Anyways:
I miss female company around the house. Gets lonely. Been lookin a little, but no lady in her right mind wants to deal with a disabled chronic pain half-crazed vet guy like me, BUT--yesterday, a girl been needin a place to live. I spoke with the folks where she was livin', and she's a great gal, just tiime to move on. Well, I don't need room-mate money, I'm doin alright. So,
yesterday I drove up North and brought her home, moved her in. She's kinda young, but a cute little thing. Of course, this is a non-conjugal thing, just givin her a place to stay. I think we're already feelin close. In some ways, she's better company than my wife. She likes to cuddle more, I guess the younger generation has what they call "cuddle buddies".

Anyways, Yep, I do believe me and this 8-week-old Shepherd mix female pup are gonna do alright.

That's one of the reasons there are so many teenage PG's. I also have an ex-wife that took me a long time to get over. But time heals most wounds. Almost all of what I say is tongue-in-cheek.
I was just goofin around back with ya.
I didn't mean for ya to get defensive,
I knew you were kiddin around,
and I also know what you just said is exactly right.
Please don't take offense, didn't mean it that way at all.
Sometimes my humour works, sometimes it doesn't.
I always figure its alright as long as somebody laughs,
even if it is just me, lol. :lol:
I still keep tryin to be humorous, it just don't always come off that way.
Sorry for the confusion...

And yes, I was tryin to mislead folks till they got to the last line.
Even called the wife this mornin and was tellin her since its been over six months, I finally moved in a young female to help out, and so on...she knows me to well, I figured I could get at least 3-5 minutes talkin about it for I let on to her. Nope, 15 years of my humor, after about 45 seconds she said,"its a dog, isn't it". She's a wise woman. She just wasn't sane enough to leave me sooner, lol... :lol: Yep, we're still friends.

Bernie, I had a surgery a few years ago that had a disappointing side effect too, but my wife's still here. Explain in detail how you managed to get yours to leave.

Exactly Dan.... Jimmy has a college edumacation, but what the folks in the other 49 states (and the Texicans) don't wanna realize, is a college education in TX is about thze equivalent of JR High the mid east states :shock:
