combine hydraulic soleniod question

My 1460 the auger doesn't want to swing back very well, swings out fine, oil is fuel, there are several soleniods on the valve stack, sounds like it is trying but nothing is happening, is there a valve that sticks or something, it will drift back if you leave it out for a while. Electric over hydraulic machine, thanks

All IH combines had electric over hydraulic on the unload auger swing starting with the 15 series.

Do you keep the swivel point greased well?

Does it stall empty as well as full?

Those cylinders that pull the auger back are barely big enough diameter to swing the auger on all the 14 series combines. The piston seal on the cylinder may be bad as well.

I went through the cylinder already, auger swings easy by hand if I remove the cylinder pins, like I said it will drift back on its own, so it must move easy enough

Pull the coils off of the electric control valve. They get dirty and then will not make the valve move like it should. You do not have to take anything off that has oil to it. Just the coils. There is a single thin nut holding them on. take the nut off and the coil will slide off of the valve. Clean them up and them see is it will work. I get several each year read and green that this is the trouble.
