Prep for repainting R panel shop?

Well, the beige paint on my 80's era shop has finally faded to a nice shade of pink so it's time for new paint.

I want to go over it with silver paint made for barns but not completely sure how much prep work it needs. The old stuff is a little bit chalky but not severe. Do I need to scrub it down with something or wash with TSP or is there a primer made for that purpose?

A lot of R-Panel has baked on enamel which means the paint is polyester. It is difficult to paint over. It should be scuffed with sandpaper or scotchbrite pad and washed with a power washer. Then it should be primed with a high adhesion primer such as Sherwin Williams Prep-Rite Primer. Then it can be painted with either an exterior latex house enamel or an oil based paint. My preference would be oil.
