Auction results w/pics

Went to an auction today, southwest of Kansas City in Pleasant Hill MO. Guy sold about 10 restored tractors, 4 or 5 parts tractors, and 2 restoration tractors. He had done the restorations himself, sounded like he had gone all the way through the mechanicals as well as doing the bodywork and paint. Most had good tires and none had any special attachments. I thought most went a little cheap, and a couple went well. Here are some results:

Farmall W6 in very nice original shape- $1900
Farmall H in decent original shape w/loader- $850
Farmall M restored- $1500
Farmall H restored- $1050
Farmall W4 restored- $3600
Farmall Super C restored- $1400
Farmall C restored- $1000
Farmall A restored with different block- $1525
Farmall Cub restored- $1800
International 240 Utility restored- $1950
Oliver Standard 77 row crop restored- $1475

Thanks for posting the results. From the pictures one would of thought they would have brought more money.

You could hardly buy the tires for those prices. I have a H that I am way underwater on. That's why it's a hobby, not a business.

Perfect example of why you don't want to sell your beloved tractors while you're still alive- it'll break your heart. He really got hosed.

After you die, your heirs will sell them in an estate sale. They have no idea of what they're worth, and would probably think they did OK.

Poor guy, he probably not only lost money, he probably worked for free. Makes me think twice about restoring my tractor.

Sounds like most of the tractors went really cheap. An H with a loader was really a good buy for that price. The W4 seems to me went kind of high compared to the rest of the tractors.

This shows that a restored tractor will not bring much more than an unrestored tractor. You have to do it for the love, and forget about the money.

I guess it keeps me out of the bars and casinos.

They all went way too cheap must not have very well advertised as that location realy isnt big for that kind of sale. Thay would have bought more here at a good farm auction.
