yikes, and people wonder why I say auto engineers don't take service into consideration when designing cars. More time involved in taking stuff off to get to the failed part than actually replacing it. BTW, I think of all the fuss about not letting anything touch a "Class A" surface and then I look at your pic and LOL. (We built the tooling to install the I/P in that vehicle.)

I get to remove the dash on my wifes torrent---22 dollar part - air mix actuator- 10 hours to replace. whatever happened to common sense when designing cars.

I am just wondering why the IP was removed, and the whole dash assembly wasn't simply swung onto the seats, allowing access from the pass. side?

96 and 02 explorers, both with the same problem, broken int bands.

05 Taurus, this one had big internal transmission issues.

02 chev 2500HD duramax, mice got to the main wiring harness to the trans.

Get to start on a couple dodges later in the week.

Funny thing is, all I can think about is getting out of here early enough to get the rest of my hay baled...

Won't swing to get enough room . kinda rests over that big bar . Wish there was an easier way , but havn't found it yet .

Mice and wiring are always fun ! I am wanting outta here bad too, blocks on basement cured enough to let one end of house down tonight , get ready to start on last half, but I guess work comes first .

All engineers should have to work on anything they design.Thousands of years ago the designer of an archway was required to stand under it when the scaffold was removed. The starting capacitor on my freezer is behind a lot of wires and tubing ,it could have been located in the open where it could be removed for testing or substitution.

Sympathies..I had the same situation years ago with a Ford 1985 LTD wagon, the small one, not the regular big size. No fun.

Wouldn't want to be paying the bill on that repair. Makes you wonder what they were thinkin when build things like that.
