That said he may need to find a couple places to stop on his way home to charge his bike battery. Seems he tried to put a new battery in but hooked it up back wards and fried something in the charging system. He will be riding up Mississippi 49 to I-55 then to hwy 63 in Arkansas to Hwy 5 and on home. I may have left out a hwy in that route but that is close to what he will be riding. So if there is any body along the way that might be able to help him get home on leave will you please send me an e-mail so I can in turn give him the info.
Thanks

glad to hear he is coming home. you might have him buy a second battery and a charger and it might get him further. I remember having to do that after riding to mexico and no parts available except for a battery. too bad you can't find the old bicycle style generators that were powered off the wheel to run lights

I already told him to get another battery so if things start to work poorly he could stop and switch it out and then run till he got to a truck stop or such place and charge up the battery he just pulled. I also told him he should try to replace the rectifier and told him what to look for and figured that would have been the first thing that would have fried when he hooked it up wrong

Highway 5 is the scenic route. We took it North
of Little Rock in 2008, through Calico Rock,
Mountain Home, to Mansfield Missouri, to see
the "Laura Ingells Wilder" homesite. Beautiful
trip, Didn't realize we were so close to "OLD"
until later, when we saw your map on this site.

Ya I have had a good many people from this site stop in and say hello to me when they are driving in this area. Had people from as far away as WI. here and if and when I find that some one was close I give them a hard time for not stopping in and saying hello
