JD 70 diesel help

I have a 70 diesel just did complete overhaul. Its 45 over had the head and block ground flat. Had to take 12tho off both. Well popped a head gasket,pushing exhaust out the radiator. What should do next o ring the head or copper gasket. I would appreciate any suggestions.

How tight did you torque the head down? New studs, washer and nuts oe re-used? Which way is the fire ring facing on the head gasket? Was the engine warmed up before it was loaded?

torqued to 210ftIb reused studs and nuts but used new lead washers. Torqued cold then after operating temp. I warmed it before loading it.
