Does anybody know anything about this McCormick wagon? I cant find anything like it in any books. It has a McCormick Hoist under it. Did McCormick make it or is it someone elses? Thanks for any help!

Looks a lot like one sitting in my yard, has traces of green and yellow paint, and we always thought it was John Deere.

I remember us getting two of them when I was 9 or 10 years old and am 66 now. They had hyd lift and was good for ear corn and silo filling. Not sure who sold them but ours had JD running gear under them.
Actually when silage wagone came out with apron chains these barge boxes lost their popularity. Gravity flo wagons and harvesting shelled corn pretty much made them obsolete around here.

Here is a pic of my identical MCcormick wagon.
Seen a running gear for one at 2011 RPRU. Registration form said they were made in 1951-1952.
If my memory is right I think my hoist is yellow and red and made by another manufacturer.
We use to pick a lot of ear corn in the two we had in the old days.

Yep, that looks like the same wagon. The running gear you saw at RPRU is my neighbors and is sitting just a half mile down the road. I thought he told me he bought 2 of them new in 52 when he started custom chopping and bought kits to build boxes on them. Could be wrong on the year. The two wagons we have were bought by my mother shortly after my parents were married, dad sent her to the auction to try and get one and she bought both! He wasnt happy at the time but has been glad to have both of them. Our other wagon doesnt have a hoist but is in a little nicer shape. A tornado dropped a tree on the one in the pic.
Im in he process of buying a 42' M with a 2MH picker mounted on it and thought it would be fun to fix up on of the wagons for show.

There were a lot of them around this part of the country, I have one on a John Deere running gear that my Uncle bought brand new. They were a good unit, mine has hauled thousands of loads, still use it all the time. I thought this one said International across the front when new, but can't say for sure.

Ive got one just like it.Dont know the modle # but we have another one with taller sides and only a 10 foot long box. They both need the steering rebuilt .
