Had to leave the home stead for the weekend, and all I can think about is getting back in that dang old oil burning,hot,noisy old tractor. I think I need theorpy :shock:
 
if you mean that in like' I CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK TO MY DANG OLD OIL BURNING, HOT, NOISY, OLD TRACTOR! Then there not a damm thing wrong with you, don't leave the wife tell you there is! ps. used to have a 8-n but I sold it.
 

We can't leave together more that a weekend and then only when all babies are born and horses are on the pasture..... We try to get away once a year for a week or two to keep sane but have to go at different times........ I don't need much but she has a stressful job then has to take care of me and is the private vet for the animals (except surgery), and handles the website and ads..... She's in spain on the beach with her daughter now and I'm working on the honeydo list with peace & quiet.....

If you stay home all the time, you'll go nuts....
 
It's all good! My tractors and home projects are exactly what help me stay fresh! A guy needs a different set of problems to solve and accomplish at home so he can go to work and solve and accomplish there.

You are right on. I can't stand to be away from the farm. My wife constantly wants me to go away for a weekend or some such thing. She is an angel and doesn't harass me about it, but she knows I won't or at least don't want to go. I try to accommodate her wishes periodically, but I'm never comfortable being gone.

Anybody got a spare life out there that I could borrow?

therapy----getting in a hot, noisy smelly old tractor to get away from lifes stresses. see also hobby, fun, stress relief by equipment---not to be confused with mental illness.
 
Ifn ya don't think there iz such a word as presactly it was only taught in the foot hills and surrounding areas of Northern West Virginia Commonly used when the revenooers was already there. meaning before now.. kinda a code talk..telling head still operator "You Been seen" (used in a sentence) Hey Jed !! you say revenooers waz commin ?? Presactly !!
 
I been retired for 21 years now, I get up at 6:00 every morning and go to work. My wife and I visited an old lady in the nursing home today. told the wife after we left. "My old boots are getting in pretty bad shape, need to buy a new pair cause I want to have a pair to die in". Want to have my boots on and be a smelling diesel smoke when I go.
