I know I can apply a pre-merg on my lawn to keep fox tail, etc from growing.. but how can I keep it from growing on 20 acres of nice pasture grass..

I'd say , get yourself an accurate scoped rifle , aim about 18" ahead of the tail & touch it off . That will take care of one fox & his tail . HTH ! God bless

Combination of grazing, mowing when needed and fertilizing the desired plants, keep the PH right for the crop your growing. Grass is a crop and has to be managed correctly, for most livestock producers grass is their most high value crop.

Can you really do that?
