David Brown 880A

They sold for $5,000 new back in the sixties. Average auction sale price 10 years ago was $1800. They probably haven't gone down much since then, but collector desirability is not high either. A lot would depend on the tires.

(quoted from post at 09:00:55 09/08/11) I have a David Brown 880A in good shape. I need to determine a value to sell.

That tractor should bring $2500 . They are very user friendly and really easy on fuel.

Location will play a part in that too. 100 miles west of me those are not worth much but in my area 3 to 5 thousand depending on condition. Don't know of any collectors around here but have lots of hobby farmers.

You don't see many decent diesel, 40 HP utility tractors under $2,500. Pick up a loader for a grand, and raise the price by 2,000.

I have a "68 4600 which is the import verion with the petrol engine. It came with a DB loader. Gave 5k for it two yrs back. It's been a good tractor.

Check the Case forum or external_link.

Need more details Like asking for a value on a Chevy Nova with no other info.

3 cylinder or 4 cylinder? Implematic or Selectamatic?

Red or White? Good paint? Grille? Lights work?

Start good when cold? Hours?

Power steering?

tire condition?

$600 to $5000

In my neck of the woods, (South Alabama), it would bring $3000-3500 if the tires were good, ran good and sheet metal was decent.
