Survey says?

Does anyone else out there ever look at the survey block on the home page. Does it ever make you wonder? Take a look at the view surveys.

It looks badly tilted to me. Dad sold AC from 1938 to 1970 and it always seemed to me that Deere and IH were the largest tractor sellers with Ford and AC next, then Massey, Oliver, Case and Moline. I base this opinion on the tractors that came to hitch up to a new All Crop combine which was the largest seller of pull-types in our market area SE of St. Louis.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was scratching my head at the fuel survey.

Almost 60% of the voters use a fuel other than diesel, gas, kerosene, or propane.

What else is there??

Lots of folks with too much time on their hands. Pumpkins is the second most popular crop, after corn? More people cut hay with a scythe than any other method? Small round bales (AC rotobaler?) are the most popular size?

It is tilted.. But just rember who is on the board,,, My thinking is older very conservative individuals that probably farmed at some point in there life. It just blows my mind that they are so adamadand about no old farm equipment should be scrapped. My part of the country there is just more junk than their are collectors. Seems the surveys are answred like things were 30 years ago.. Rode a round this afternoon in a 8 row combine in corn that was averging 186 bu, that how farming has changed big time in the last 30 years. So many of us old guys just can,t believ it.
