Zenith carb

I"m in need of a carburetor that came stock on a John Deere 7700 combine ( gas ). If anyone has one for sale please contact me, otherwise maybe you can help me with my search. I would like to know what the model and or series of this Zenith carb is. I know that it has a 1 7/8" throat. Don"t know if it came on any other motors from factory or not, but i think the 7700 combine had a 404ci motor stock from John Deere. ???? Mid to late 70"s ???? Thank for any help whatsoever! Jim

In the parts book they don't show a carburetor, but they do show the gas fuel lines. May want to check with your Deere dealer.

Wasn"t it a 318 Chrysler/Dodge gas engine? Or am I thinking the 6600. Wouldn"t the 404 ci be the diesel?

Should be the same as a gas 4020. 404's were built both gas and diesel.

I would agree I thought the 404 was a diesel motor but was not sure.

If you look on this website under tractor parts and look up a 4020 they show the Zenith carb. numbers.

Guys i'm not 100 percent sure the 7700 J D combine gas engine was a 404, i thought it was but could be wrong. I'm in help of the carb that come on these. Alot of pullers out there with 400+cubes are buying these up and would like to buy one myself but can't locate one anywhere. It had the 1 7/8" throat on this zenith, and believe the 4020 carb throat is only 1 5/8"? Anyhow, sure would love to find a seller for one of these carbs.

the 4020 gasser had a 362 ci after 1965, the diesel was 404
