5 years ago when i built my house i wanted natural gas, but new jersey had this smart growth law that if you built outside the smart areas you had to pay the total cost of your utilities, $8800.00 for gas hookup which was on the street in front of the house and $4500.00 for electric, had to go for the electric and oil for heat, well when i paid $750.00 for 200 gals. decided it was time for a change , so $2800.00 dollars later including the hookup and burner conversion i have gas heat, screw the oil speculators. i couldn't believe the gas crew were smoking while doing the install. used the oliver to compact the trench 1 day after we got 7" of rain chuck

Did they tell you what efficiency you can expect with an oil to gas conversion? I'm just curious. I deliver propane, and I know the old conversions were only about 50% efficient compared to the new gas furnaces which are usually 95% efficient...

Where's all yer rocks? Somebody took all yer rocks!!!

That's probly what the cop is there for, investigatin' this heinous crime.

JOHN, they said my boiler would be about 15% less efficient, but i will still save allot on heating costs. M.MAN, i sure would have been freaked. YALLARDEERE, they did indeed tap a high pressure line. the price for the hookup was $1778.00 and i did not complain about that. PAUL, no that is a county sheriff, they were not even in the road. more of our tax dollars wasted. BIG FRED, the biggest rock we found during the house construction was about 6" in diameter. chuck
