Hi Guys,,just found a 2270 white 6 cylinder diesel,,,would this tractor be a good puller as it is,,i hate to modify a tractor much,,just want it on the boat for the local fairs and such,,it seems to be a pretty good chunk of a machine

If the engine is good on it they should pull pretty good. If you get it weighted right for the class they have plenty of traction. Just point that old hood at the end of the track and tell those hopped up 1066's to just step aside. Where are you located? Does it have the external oil pump? Those are the better engine. Let us know where you are and if the engine has had any work done. If the engine is in good shape it will pull with any other tractor they drag in there.

Tried findng something on a 2270. Looks as though it was one of those orphan tractors that white squeezed out at the end of the Oliver-MM run. what I don't know is which MM it crosses over to. Check with the boys at the MM page.

thanks for the info,i believe i did notice the oil pump being external..big bruiser of a tractor but with all the toys,,dual remotes,,3 ph,,p.s.,,cab,,looks enormous. I am located upnorth of toronto Canada, nea a little town called Orillia,,Canada

It's a 1355 Minneapolis Moline, painted up like a Cockshutt/White. There is one for sale near me here in Southern Ontario asking price $6500 needing only some minor work. With a cab that tractor will be pushing 15 000lbs though, generally at the local Ontario fairs and pulls they only go up to 9500lbs, not enough participants over that weight to justify going higher.
