Went to an auction this morning and picked up these old John Deere wrenches. Three of the wheel lug wrenches, one of the older John Deere wrenches with John Deere stamped into it, and then another old piece that I am not totally sure what it is.

What is that last one?

Is is John Deere at all?

What is it suppost to be used for?

Thanks for Reading!

I'm guessing for the rack and pinion rear wheel adjustment either for late two cylinder or New Generation.

All except the bottom one are obviously JD, and the bottom is obviously not. Did the auctioneer say it was JD? If he did not, then it can be used for something.
If he did say it was JD, it was not a mistake unless it was his first day at an auction.
That is one of many reasons I stopped going to very many of them. Some of them will say ANYTHING to get something sold, and then have the gall to get upset if you call their hand on it.
Since when did honesty and the facts become unpopular?

We can"t see the inside, of either end on the last wrench, to see the configuration. The lasdt wrench looks like a Budd wheel wrench, which was used to tighten and loosen, the duel wheel nuts, on early trucks, along with a suporting jack stand, and a long bar thru the holes. If so, then the small end will have a 3/4" or larger square socket end, and the large end will have a hex socket, the size of the old Budd wheel nuts, 1" or larger. Can"t remember the sizes, on my old 54 f600 grain truck. Too many yr"s ago!

The top picture is three rack and pinion wrenches for moving the rear wedges to adjust the wheel tread. I bet that I have ten of them laying around. I have never seen anyone use them. The bigger socket is to loosen the wedge clamp bolts. I would like to see any one get them loose with a wrench that short. My 3/4 impact wrench has trouble some times. So their value is very little.

The other two I can't help with. Can not tell what they are for.

the last one is for a 1 ton dually pickup, my '83 chevy came with one, its still in it, along with the other piece that goes in the hole so you can apply leverage, as anybody who has tried to actually use it knows, it and the factory jack are just almost usless, i gave the jack to the kid for a toy, replaced it with a 10 ton hydraulic jack in the truck, and for a lug wrench, a deep impact socket, extension and breaker bar, all 3/4 drive works way better if im not near a air compresser and impact wrench

Top ones were flywheel wrenches for the unstyled A & G tractors but they also fit the rear wheels and the cultivator mounting bolts, first in production for the 1934 model A, might have also fit the D & GP series as well. Long before those rack and pinion wheels.
