OT Hog autosorters

Brother bought one for the barn he's renovating. We were trying to figure out how to set it up as efficiently as possible. There will be 1000 pigs in the barn, and the sorter is rated for 500, so we were thinking to split the room into two sections, run half the barn through the sorter every day, and have a bypass aisle for the other half of the barn to still get to the feed. Anyone have any experience with sorters? Any dos/donts/suggestions? Thanks!

How big is your grower/finisher barn? Are you going to have raised grate floor in the loafing area? Are you going to have light feeding and heavy feeding side? Are you going to have an infirmary area?

Very interesting set up. I'm trying to get the entire concept of the autosorter. Any details would be great for my information.
